OFFICE HOURS

Visits are usually scheduled Mondays through Thursdays 9am to 6pm, although later times can be arranged.

SCHEDULING A VISIT

I practice without an assistant. You will often need to leave a voice mail or email message.

I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.

Comprehensive initial visits for adults are scheduled for 90 minutes.

Comprehensive initial visits for children under 12 are scheduled for 45-60 minutes.

All Comprehensive initial visits require a non-refundable deposit at the time of scheduling. In the event you need to change that appointment, this deposit is applicable to your new appointment only if you give 24 week day hours notice unless an unavoidable emergency occurs.

Follow up visits are scheduled for 45 minutes, but can be shorter (especially with children) or longer.

Telephone Consultations can be scheduled for established patients under special circumstances when an office visit may not be deemed necessary or possible.

PAYMENT

Payment is expected in full at the time services are rendered. Visa and MasterCard are accepted for charges over $50.

Insurance does not yet cover Naturopathic Medicine in Massachusetts.

Flexible Spending and Health Savings Accounts can sometimes help your health care budget.

All unpaid balances over 30 days will have the standard 1.5% finance charge added on a monthly basis.

NO SHOW / CANCELLATION POLICY

Please give 24 weekday hours notice for both in-office and telephone consultations, so that time can be offered to another patient. There is a $50 fee for canceling with less notice, unless it is due to an emergency. Full fee will be charged if no notice is received.

You are responsible for remembering your commitments. Every visit, I carefully write the date and time we just agreed to meet again on your Recommendation Sheet (and a Business Card if you wish). I don’t call to remind you of visits.

I do bill for missed visits, so don’t forget!

HOLIDAYS

I am generally away Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas and for the first week of July and the last weeks of August and December. Plan your Pharmacy needs accordingly.

EMERGENCIES

As committed as I am to your health care, it is not possible to be available all the time. In situations that are bothersome or uncomfortable, but not an emergency, you can try me first. One question I can answer is ‘should I go see my primary care physician for this?’. If you cannot reach me, call your primary care physician.

That said, if you are truly having an emergency please call 911 and your primary care physician. Let me know as well as soon as you can.
